I began making jewelry as a
hobby about six years ago. I have always loved rocks and crystals and
while visiting my Aunt Marge and Uncle Jim in Arizona, my uncle gave me an Apache Tear
(Obsidian). I wanted to figure out a way to wear this and began buying
different wires and findings to try and turn it into a pendant. I also
began buying much, much more....semi precious gemstone beads, metal
beads...etc. etc. I was hooked, but how much jewelry can you
make for yourself...a lot to be sure, but I was also giving it as
gifts. People kept remarking, you should sell this, it's really nice!
That started me going to craft shows and doing
home parties.
I really love making
jewelry, finding new beads and coming up with new designs. My goal is
to provide quality jewelry at a reasonable price. The majority of my
designs are one of kind items. I rarely duplicate a design. The
exception would be when asked by a customer to design multiples of
something for a wedding party or as gifts. But generally speaking, when
you buy one of my designs, you are not going to see it on someone else.
