Fire (Intuition)
Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
These people have a fiery quality to their temperament. They function with flashes of incite and instinct. . Using spontaneous guesswork, they often go on a hunch or have a sudden premonition. They typically operate by the seat of their pants. They trust that their vitality, charisma, magnetism and and enthusiasm will contagiously inspire others. Others may perceive these people as risk takers, impetuous, impulsive, daring and perhaps even reckless. Intuition is their strong, superior function.

Aries is the first sign of the Western zodiac. In Greek mythology, Zeus placed the likeness of a golden ram, that had been sacrificed to him, in the heavens. Aries is a Cardinal, Masculine, Fire sign ruled by Mars. Those born with the Sun in Aries are characterized as being direct and assertive in nature.
       Cardinal signs imply action, initiative, determination and a desire to succeed; a dislike of close discipline. Fire signs imply enthusiasm above all and can be entertaining and optimistic. They are good at starting new projects, but not as good at finishing them. The Masculine association is one of directness and outgoing, extroverted behavior. Apparently confident, although appearances can be deceiving.
       Interpretation of the natal chart can be thought of in terms of three major facets of the individual. How you appear to others, your innermost desires and aspirations, and what you are really like. The characteristics associated with your Sun sign, Aries, are not absolutes, and should be seen only as likely dispositions.
       Personal freedom is generally of great importance to you. At your best, you are enterprising, courageous and energetic. At your worst, selfish, impulsive and quick-tempered - a degree of impatience is not unusual. Arians are competitive and usually have a strong desire to achieve their own ends. A willingness to take risks is common. Many Arians are famous for their bravery and disregard for danger. One of your best traits is that you are simple and direct, blunt and honest. It may be easy to forget the feelings of others - Arians are sometimes difficult friends. A quick and satirical wit is also common. Your intuition should be good, with quick decisions being mostly the right ones. Arians are not generally egotistical, but the ability to admit fault will compensate for a lack of diplomacy.
       Aries, like the ram, responds to situations impulsively. In emotional relationships, you need to express sexuality more strongly than most, and in a positive fashion. Many have a romantic streak and a likely tendency to selfishness. Arian behavior may be quite childish at times. The partner of an Aries person should make sure that their needs are accepted as being of equal importance.
       The tendency to 'push' a child is the Arian parent's worst fault and is not helped by a lack of patience. Arian parents should allow the child to develop at their own rate. Mostly, the out-going qualities of Arians make for a good parent, especially for the more extroverted child. The Arian child is energetic and will be difficult to control at times. Firm discipline is sometimes required. It is important for the parent to help the child find a vocation of some kind early in life. In career terms, Aries need more excitement than most. Arians would rather lead than be lead.
